Music Ministry
Music is a wonderful gift from God, and a powerful tool for worship
At First Methodist of Greensboro, we all do all we can to develop and encourage the use of music and the arts as a vehicle to worship and proclaim the glory of God! We live in a beautifully diverse neighborhood, and we try to have our music reflect that diversity by drawing of the rich traditions of hymnody, southern gospel, traditional gospel — as well as contemporary and urban gospel (and even some hip-hop!)
Our music director, Pamelia Beddingfield, leads our Adult Choir in rehearsals on Sunday afternoons at 12pm, and they lead our worship in our traditional morning worship service, while Ms. Alexandra Skipper rehearses our praise team at 5pm before the contemporary Outpour service on Sunday at 6pm. Throughout the year, we also utilize soloists and instrumentalist, as well as periodic selections from our Handbell Choir and our annual Christmas cantata. If you enjoy singing or playing a musical instrument, there is room for you in our music ministry at First Methodist!
