Children's Ministry

Children Are Welcome at First Methodist!

 

We love children of all ages, and do our best to provide a safe environment for them where they can run and play, feel safe and loved, and be nurtured as they grow in their faith. Here are just some of the fun things we do!

Sunday School

An awesome opportunity for children to learn about the Bible and apply it to their lives each Sunday morning. Children in kindergarten through 5th grade have classes from 9:45-10:30am with snacks, crafts, discussion and Bible study for different grade levels.

 

Junior Sozo

Who says kids have to wait until they are teenagers to have “youth group”? Our Junior Sozo group is for elementary students, and it meets both on Wednesday at 3pm after school, and on Sunday afternoons at 4pm. They are times of learning and discussion, games and fun activities, and opportunities for serving others -- filling the food pantry box, making cards for first responders, visiting the nursing home – and many other ways our students have fun, learn about God’s love and show it to others!

  • Wacky Wednesday Fun Days through the summer

  • Easter Egg Hunt

  • Trunk or Treat Festival

  • Christmas Live Nativity and Happy Birthday Jesus Party

  • Service projects, and more throughout the year!

All adult volunteers are screened with background checks.
